Two ISP board members are among the 11 Thais who will be speaking at next week’s World Bank/IMF meetings in Bangkok.

Institute for Strategic Policy Chairman Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee and Dr. Veerathai Santiprabhob, a member of ISP Board of Institute, will join Thai Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas and Chulalongkorn University’s economist Dr. Suthiphand Chirathiwat at a Thailand special seminar on October 13, 2026.

The topic on “Thailand’s Path to Resilient, Inclusive Growth” covers emerging challenges from AI, digital to regional trade and investment.

Dr. Veerathai, a former Bank of Thailand governor, is also the current chair of the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI).

Other Thais taking part in various IMF/WB forums are Kittiya Indaravijaya, CEO of Kbank; Dr. Kirida Bhaopichitr, Vice Minister of Commerce; Saowakhon Misaeng from the Revenue Department; Siyapha Kunarat-skul from IMF; Aukrit Unahalekhaka from agritech Ricult Co; Piyachart Isarabhakdee from Brandi.

The events take place at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (October 12- 18, 2026).
