ISP’s advisor Gen. Nothapol Boonngam led a discussion with visiting think tank Osmani Centre for Peace and Security Studies from Bangladesh led by Chairman Dr Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahnman (Lt. Gen. retired) and delegates on August 5, 2026. The meeting was also joined by a team from Strategic Studies Center of the National Defence Studies Institute, Thailand, led by AVMChaiya Okdaeng. Topics of mutual discussions included refugees which both Thailand and Bangladesh have to endure; the proposed China, Myanmar, Bangladesh Economic Corridor to supply the latter with gas; and role of Bangladesh vis-a-vis S Asia and Asean.
