Veerathai Santiprabhob, Ph.D. is a distinguished macroeconomist and financial professional with experience encompassing economic policy design, commercial banking, capital markets, and digital transformation of the financial system. He has served as the Governor of the Bank of Thailand and currently serves as Chairman, Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI). Veerathai holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Economics (First Class Honors) from Thammasat University. He was a recipient of the Anandamahidol Foundation Scholarship, the Eisenhower Fellowship, and the S.R. Nathan Fellowship.
